IBM, as a preferred managed security services provider for Palo Alto Networks, will assist customers in transitioning from QRadar to Cortex XSIAM

Leading cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks has successfully acquired IBM's QRadar Software as a Service (SaaS) assets, forming an important partnership between the two businesses that will improve risk mitigation and maximize security operations.

Palo Alto Networks' Precision AI-powered Cortex XSIAM® platform will be able to utilize IBM's QRadar capabilities through this acquisition. Cortex XSIAM consolidates security operations, including SIEM, SOAR, ASM, and XDR, into a single solution, designed to simplify operations and improve threat detection on a large scale. IBM, as a preferred managed security services provider for Palo Alto Networks, will assist customers in transitioning from QRadar to Cortex XSIAM. Eligible customers will benefit from no-cost migration services through IBM Consulting. Additionally, IBM has begun deploying Palo Alto Networks’ technologies internally, including Cortex XSIAM for security operations and Prisma SASE 3.0 for zero-trust network security, safeguarding over 250,000 employees worldwide. With the goal of increasing AI-driven automation in cybersecurity, this partnership will also allow Palo Alto Networks to make use of IBM's Watsonx AI and data platform.

Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora highlighted the partnership's major impact on security operations, and IBM CEO Arvind Krishna outlined the partnership's key benefits for improving cybersecurity across several industries. The deal highlights a shared approach to innovation in safeguarding businesses from ever-increasing cyber risks.
