Directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite), the film features Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Jack Black, and Jason Momoa

The first teaser for Warner Bros.' live-action version of A Minecraft Movie, the world's best-selling video game, has been released. Set to the famous "Magical Mystery Tour" song by The Beatles, the teaser provides a peek into the colorful, blocky world of Minecraft and guarantees a creative journey that remains true to the popular sandbox game.

Directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite), the film features Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Jack Black, and Jason Momoa.  Momoa plays the character of Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison, one of four unlikely heroes who are pushed into the graphical Overworld of Minecraft. Steve, played by Jack Black, is a talented crafter who travels with them and helps them avoid dangers in the cubic dimension, including zombies and Piglins. With the main characters having to gather resources, make tools, and construct structures in order to survive and find their way home, the film aims to bring the creative and survival elements of Minecraft to life. In this exciting journey under the guidance of Black's character Steve, it is expected that the group will reach their maximum creative potential.

The movie produced by Roy Lee and Jon Berg is announced to be released in North America on April 4, 2025. International screenings will begin on April 2 and fans can expect an accurate and innovative version of the cherished video game.
