Ola Electric expands its retail and service network to 4,000 stores nationwide, introducing new scooter variants and a limited edition model.

Ola Electric-the leader in the Indian electric vehicle market-now announced its plans to drastically expand the retail and services network in the country. The company will increase store count from 800 locations to an astonishing 4,000 locations across the nation. As part of that, over 3,200 new stores will emerge, and most of them are expected to have service centres co-located, providing much higher convenience for its customers. The idea behind this move is to stretch the reach of Ola Electric beyond metro cities and Tier I and II areas to smaller towns and tehsils to further strengthen its presence across India.

Bhavish Aggarwal, chairman and MD of Ola Electric said that the new expansion was going to revolutionize customers' buying and owning EVs. "With our newly opened stores co-located with service centers, we have completely redefined the EV purchase and ownership experience, setting new benchmarks," he said while referring to the company's #SavingsWalaScooter campaign.

As part of the expansion, Ola Electric also introduced a special edition of its highly popular S1 scooter - the Ola S1 Pro Sona. This variant is limited and features 24-karat gold-plated elements that mark a unique step in the direction of premium offerings in the electric scooter market.

Besides the expansion, Ola Electric recently launched a new variant of its scooters keeping in view the varied requirements. The cost of Ola Gig goes up to Rs 39,999 whereas that of the Ola Gig+ is Rs 49,999. And the costs for Ola S1 Z and the S1 Z+ versions are fixed at Rs 59,999 and Rs 64,999 respectively though that's introductory for now.

This nationwide push by Ola Electric is poised to play a key role in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles across India, bringing EVs within the reach of more people.
