Oracle NetSuite Unveils New AI Capabilities for Enhanced Business Productivity

Oracle NetSuite introduced the latest AI features designed to improve user productivity

Evan Goldberg, founder and senior vice president of Oracle NetSuite, stated during a briefing here at the Suite Connect 2025 event on Thursday that the new AI capabilities are intended to assist users in completing activities more effectively and productively.

According to Goldberg, the secret to successful AI capabilities in business apps is to have them completely integrated into a suite rather than added as an add-on.

Text Enhance allows for faster and more accurate data entry in custom text fields; NetSuite Expert for Suite Answers offers guidance in natural language; the NetSuite CPQ AI Assistant allows buyers and sellers to configure product quotes through natural language chat; and the Prompt Management API streamlines AI integrations and customizations by centrally managing prompts used in large language models in NetSuite

According to him, new generations of entrepreneurs who don't adhere to the traditional business models of earlier generations, such as wholesaler, retailer, distributor, manufacturer, or internet service provider, are the target audience for the XaaS ERP approach.

The most recent version of NetSuite ERP now includes the XaaS Edition and new AI features at no additional cost. The main target for the NetSuite cloud ERP platform, which is a collection of connected business applications, is small to medium businesses. The applications included are ERP, finance and accounting, CRM, field service management, human capital management, professional services automation, and much other business software.

According to him, the XaaS Edition makes NetSuite stand out from the competition and may be helpful for its SMB clients. It might be useful because they are aiming to reach growing businesses that offer hybrid goods and services and need to comply with a variety of accounting rules.

"They've put this together in a single, highly integrated system, so there's no argument that there's a certain value in that," Sommer said. "It's almost a shame on other companies for not doing something similar."
