Singer Reveals Limited-edition...Singer’s new Porsche 911 reimagines classic design with modern engineering, offering exclusive customization options.
The latest product from Singer, a restoration boutique based in California that specializes in rethinking Porsches, is the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer. This new build, which was inspired by the rare 1980s M491 "Turbo Look" vehicles, demonstrates Singer's dedication to fusing traditional Porsche styling with modern engineering.
The car is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, developed in partnership with Cosworth, marking Singer's first use of variable valve timing and air-cooled cylinders with water-cooled heads. This engine produces 420 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The car features five driving modes such as Road, Sport, Track, off and Weather by allowing drivers to adjust traction control and stability systems for different conditions.
For increased strength and torsional rigidity, Singer strengthened the donor car's chassis in partnership with Red Bull Advanced Technologies. The M491 Turbo Look served as the model for the carbon-fiber body which also has a whale tail rear wing option. Each car's interior can be completely customized to the owner's tastes, including custom paint jobs, leather varieties and stitching choices.
Customers of Singer are required to provide a donor Porsche 911 from the 964 generation. This model is an exclusive offering because the manufacturer only intends to produce 100 of them. Although the exact cost is unknown, average Singer builds are thought to cost about $500,000. The Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer appeals to those seeking a contemporary interpretation of a vintage Porsche because it combines performance, workmanship and personalization.
