Toonz and New-Gen Collaborate to Reimagine the Comic Book

Global collaboration among Toonz, New-Gen, and Ketchup Entertainment resulted in New-Gen Nanobot Heroes.

To provide a novel approach to superhero narrative with innovative graphics and thrilling adventure, animation producer Toonz Media Group has teamed up with New-Gen Universe. Together, they are bringing the popular comic book New-Gen into a 3D computer-generated imagery animated series called New-Gen Nanobot Heroes.

This series will immerse audiences in a fast-paced, tech-driven world powered by nanotechnology. Toonz Media Group, New-Gen Universe, and Ketchup Entertainment have partnered to bring the comic book series New-Gen, which was originally created by J.D. Matonti, Chris Matonti, and Julia Coppola and distributed by Marvel, to the screen. The new series follows the events of the first comic and explores and focuses on the intense battle between two brilliant nanotech visionaries, Gabriel and Deadalus. A team of six experienced writers, headed by Brent Friedman, popular for his work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Eugene Son, who wrote Avengers Assemble, along with four other talented writers, will be the backbone of the storytelling team, and they will write the first season, which has 13 episodes, each about 22 minutes long. According to the CEO of Toonz Media Group, P. Jayakumar, the organization is constantly searching for original, imaginative worlds to come to life and New-Gen is the ideal fit for that.

Ketchup Entertainment will oversee the domestic distribution of the 3D computer-generated imagery animated series New-Gen Nanobot Heroes. Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Nick Wolfhard (Fire Emblem), Anya Chalotra (The Witcher), Luke Wilson (Stargirl), Henry Rollins (The Legend of Korra), and many more have been cast as the project's excellent voices. The original creators J.D. Matonti, Chris Matonti, and Julia Coppola will be the executive producers of the series will be and J.D. Matonti will be the series director.
