Brandon Haw Unveils Waterfront...ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN
Williamsburg Wharf’s first phase launches with two metal-clad towers, blending luxury and innovation in Brooklyn.
A new era of luxurious living and architectural innovation in South Williamsburg has begun with the unveiling of two fascinating metallic skyscrapers by Brandon Haw Architecture on Brooklyn's waterfront as part of the ambitious Williamsburg Wharf development.
The two residential skyscrapers, Two and Three Williamsburg Wharf, are each 22-storeys high and approximately 280 feet tall. They are covered in metal panels and are situated south of the Brooklyn Bridge, and they have 334 apartments in total as well as common areas for residents. The facades of the buildings were designed to “reflect the sunlight in a special way throughout the day and the seasons,” and the buildings’ design has been influenced by the Dutch heritage and cast-iron structures in the nearby areas in South Williamsburg. In order to fit the angled seaside site, the two towers are built on a shared podium. Under each building, there is an area for outdoor terraces. Apartment windows are framed by beveled aluminum metal panels that cover the structures. More terraces can be added as the towers rise and step back at the corners, and the top of each building is covered in fluted panels. A corner-shaped plaza at the base opens up the waterfront, while a wood-paneled hallway leads to the street.
These structures are included in the first phase of the development, which was designed by Brandon Haw Architecture and built by Naftali Group, and in this initial phase, another residential tower will also be completed, according to the developer. The entire project will have five buildings and 950 apartments and will also have outdoor spaces that are directly connected to a waterfront walkway.
