LTIMindtree’s COO Nachiket Deshpande Takes Charge of New Global AI Services Role

COO Nachiket Deshpande now leads AI services, strategic deals, and partnerships under CEO-designate Venu Lambu’s vision for an AI-first future

In a move that reflects its growing focus on artificial intelligence (AI), LTIMindtree has promoted Chief Operating Officer Nachiket Deshpande to a newly created role—President of Global AI Services, Strategic Deals, and Partnerships. The change comes as part of a broader organizational restructuring under CEO-designate Venu Lambu, who is preparing to take over later this year.

Deshpande, also a whole-time director, was seen as a front-runner for the CEO position. While the COO role may now remain vacant, his new responsibilities position him at the heart of LTIMindtree’s shift toward AI-led growth.

The announcement, made through an internal letter dated March 7, comes just weeks after Lambu’s appointment was confirmed in January. He succeeds outgoing CEO Debashis Chatterjee, whose term ends in November.

Last month, Ram Khizamboor was named Chief Delivery Officer, while Krishnan Iyer became Chief Growth Officer, with both reporting directly to Lambu. These shifts, along with Deshpande’s appointment, mark the company’s commitment to speed, innovation, and internal leadership development.

Lambu is also preparing a five-year strategy, "Lakshya," and a long-term vision for LTIMindtree 2030, as the company aims to lead in a rapidly transforming tech landscape.
