Kim Kardashian Joins Update En...Kim Kardashian has joined clean-energy drink company Update as co-founder for its relaunch, launches in 4,000+ Walmart stores March 1.
Kim Kardashian has officially joined clean-energy drink company Update as co-founder, partnering with founder Daniel Solomons for a major brand relaunch that brings science-backed, paraxanthine-powered energy to the mass market. The beverage, initially launched in 2022, is formulated with paraxanthine the primary compound the human body naturally produces when metabolizing caffeine which delivers smooth, sustained energy without the jitters, crash, or overstimulation associated with traditional energy drinks.
Kardashian's journey with Update began organically in 2023 when she became a regular consumer, drawn to its positioning as intentional energy for high-performance lifestyles. Her team began placing large, consistent orders, and she soon offered "unsolicited feedback" on flavor profiles, formulation, and packaging design. These conversations evolved into deeper collaboration, and by mid-2025, Kardashian stepped into a formal co-founder role, becoming hands-on across brand positioning, creative direction, and product development.
"I'm someone who moves at a really intense pace but still prioritizes focus, balance and what I put in my body," Kardashian told WWD. "The energy category can feel loud and Update offers something different a more intentional approach designed for sustaining energy." She noted her involvement helped reshape the packaging to feel less "masculine" and more "calm," while contributing to taste reformulation.
Update relaunches with five flavors: berry, grape, peach, mandarin and pineapple. The brand debuts in more than 4,000 Walmart stores nationwide on March 1, 2026, marking one of Walmart's largest beverage rollouts to date, with expansion to additional retailers planned throughout the year. Each 12-ounce can contain 300mg paraxanthine, along with Alpha-GPC, L-Theanine, and Vitamin B12 zero sugar, zero calories, and no artificial flavors.
CEO Daniel Solomons emphasized Kardashian's role has been "instrumental," noting her "perspective on purposeful energy and her instinct for what resonates culturally have sharpened our long-term vision.” He added the relaunch represents "an evolution of what we've been building toward, with stronger product, stronger positioning, and the infrastructure to support national distribution."
This marks Kardashian's latest expansion in food and beverage, following her private equity firm SKKY Partners' 2023 investment in truffle-infused brand Truff.
