Judith Freiha’s path toward founding Wandering Yacht reflects lived experience, creative instinct, and a longstanding connection to life at sea. Her journey developed over years spent immersed in the yachting world before she stepped into entrepreneurship with a perspective shaped by firsthand insight.

Her story begins with a creative foundation that spans performance, production, and design. From an early age, she saw herself as someone driven by ideas, often envisioning solutions before they were fully formed. “I’ve always been an idea person,” she says. “I dream in solutions, I am a triple creative and I wake up wanting to bring them into reality.” This mindset guided her work in film, music, and design, eventually finding a natural place within the nautical space.

Before establishing her company, Freiha spent years as a client within the yachting and chartering world, managing family experiences across different destinations and working within the diplomatic field, which shaped her understanding of luxury and dealing with luxury-minded clients. This vantage point shaped her understanding of how journeys unfold from the guest’s point of view, including the subtleties that influence meaningful experiences. Over time, these observations developed into a clear sense of how those experiences could become more intuitive and connected.

Freiha’s transition into business ownership grew from that insight. Wandering Yacht was built on the idea that travel at sea could be personal in a way that extends beyond logistics. Freiha views her method as rooted in empathy and familiarity.

Across nine years, she guided the company from its earliest stages into a more defined structure, focusing on family-oriented, highly tailored experiences. This progression aligns with a 10-year vision she set from the beginning. “Time gave me space to understand what resonates,” she says. “It allowed the concept to grow into something complete.” Choosing to fund the venture independently allowed her to develop the business at her own pace, refining its direction without external pressure.

As the company expanded, Freiha identified an opportunity in the market for a more relationship-driven model. Her philosophy centers on connection and customization, with each experience shaped around individual preferences. The goal is to create cohesive journeys, where every detail aligns naturally with the client’s lifestyle.

This perspective also informs her leadership. Freiha places strong emphasis on environmental awareness and thoughtful consumption, viewing sustainability as an ongoing practice integrated into daily decisions. She says, “I believe sustainability is about how we move, how we use our time, and how we leave a place, using each resource wisely. It’s a mindset that grows with awareness.” For her, it includes efficiency, care for resources, and a broader awareness of how travel interacts with the natural world.

Her approach includes practical measures such as encouraging streamlined travel routes and reducing unnecessary transitions, allowing clients to spend more time immersed in their surroundings. She also explores ways to integrate environmentally conscious materials and practices into the business, including initiatives that reduce single-use items and introduce alternatives aligned with a more mindful way of living.

The company’s evolution led to the development of a wider digital ecosystem. Freiha introduced complementary platforms that extend the original concept into new areas of hospitality and travel. One focuses on curated culinary experiences, inspired by her early efforts to secure high-quality chefs for charters. Another highlights sustainable travel choices, presenting them in an engaging and accessible format designed to encourage awareness.

Alongside these platforms, she has been developing a digital channel offering insights into design, aesthetics, and life at sea, as well as an application intended to enhance excursion planning. These initiatives reflect her interest in blending creativity with functionality, building an environment where different aspects of travel connect seamlessly.

As the business enters the final stage of its initial ten-year plan, Freiha sees this moment as a transition into a broader lifestyle offering. “The foundation is now established, and our focus is on expanding. We want to include a clothing line inspired by the nautical world, with designs I have personally conceptualized,” Freiha shares.

Throughout her journey, Freiha often reflects on the influence of her personal life, especially the inspiration she draws from her daughter. Observing her daughter’s confidence and ability to create meaningful impact offered encouragement that shaped Freiha’s own path into entrepreneurship. Her perspective on career timing reflects a strong sense of individuality. Beginning this chapter later in life allowed her to approach it with depth of experience that continues to inform her decisions. She embraces this as part of her identity, bringing intention to each step forward.

Her journey reflects a continuous process of observation, creation, and refinement, an approach that brings together creativity and a thoughtful understanding of what makes a journey truly memorable. As she continues to develop Wandering Yacht and its surrounding ecosystem, Freiha remains focused on refining the experience, helping ensure that each element aligns with the vision she set from the beginning and leaving each place better than she found it.
