Combining Efficiency, Performance, and Ease of Use, the Belgium-based Tech Firm idloom Makes Software You Enjoy Using

Founded in 2015 by two witty minds, Maxence Cüpper and Sébastien Braun, idloom stands at the crossroads between digital communication and corporate strategy offering state of the art software solutions. It offers a unique combination of technological, marketing, and management expertise and apprehends digital communication as a whole.

The story of idloom’s inception is not like every other SaaS (software as a service) startup. Maxence had tremendous experience in founding and growing businesses, and Sébastien had the profound desire to build his own business instead of giving advice to others on to how to manage theirs.

Maxence’s previous company had several demands for event management software and corporate intranets that were robust, easy to use, and affordable. And knowing about it, the duo carefully analyzed the market and they found out that there were solutions out there, but not so many addressing the bulk of the addressable market. Most of the time, the efficient solutions were either expensive to build or to maintain.

So, Maxence and Sébastien took a different approach; they didn’t create software and try to sell it. Rather, they went directly to potential clients and asked them what they needed precisely and based on that, they co-developed the software with the client and this was something really close to uncommon. The duo created a business around the real-life needs, to which they brought effective and actionable solutions.

Interview Snippet with CEO & Co-Founder of idloom, Sébastien Braun

Q. What’s the difference between having a business and having a brand?

I would say a brand is a business that consistently delivers high-quality products or services. In other words, brand is very much linked to reputation, or how a business is able to make a name for itself in the market. Furthermore, I think becoming a brand means your business has become the benchmark in a particular sector and the process is long, most of the time.

At idloom, we focus mainly on building a profitable and sustainable business. Our main goal is to grow the business and consistently create value and we believe that our brand recognition will grow as long as we continue to develop the business further. We have a business which is heading towards more and more brand recognition worldwide. We do it by striving for excellence in everything we do day in and day out.

Q. How customer responses have motivated you to shape your offerings and grow the company?

At idloom, we have a culture of feedback. On a regular basis (and after each event), we collect feedback from our clients and commit ourselves to work on improving the software. Our offering is continually evolving, and the direction we give to product development is directly dictated by the actual market needs. In other words, all negative feedback is immediately corrected, and our clients are generally very happy with our solutions and this is reflected in the multiple accolades we have received over the years.

Q. A small company/business is defined by its core values. What are your company’s core values and how did they help you to succeed?

My and Maxence’s values are always at the core of our business. It is those values that define the way we apprehend business, and the quality of the relationships we share with our clients. At idloom, we all share the same values of honesty, ethics, commitment, dependability, hard work, and excellence. Maxence and I shared those values from the very beginning, and our profound alignment helped us succeed this far. We are not satisfied with good when we can do great, and consistently strive for excellence in everything we do, with passion!

Also, we like to work in a positive environment, and it is important for us to have fun and enjoy what we do. A good sense of humor is definitely something I’d say we all share at idloom.

Q. Customer service varies, but companies can still be successful. How do you maintain your customers’ trust and loyalty?

The quality of our service is at the core of our company’s values and we capitalize on it to maintain our clients’ trust and loyalty. However, we recognize that as the company grows, keeping the same high level of service is a challenge for us to tackle. But at idloom, we make sure we have people available at all hours and every day of the year to address the support demand.

Q. Any company, big or small, must have the sense of authenticity and originality to succeed. Is your company a ‘leader’ or a ‘follower’?

I would consider idloom neither as a follower nor as a leader. In fact, idloom is more of a disruptor. We align with what’s out there but also develop innovative, new features and deliver it with a higher quality of products and services, and at a much lower price point than our competitors. What sets idloom apart is the simplicity and ease of use it is capable of bringing to technically complex software, all at a very aggressive price point.

The Future Vision

Over the years, idloom has been embracing digital communication in its entirety to achieve maximum value creation for our customers. And today, the company offers the best-of-breed software solutions tailored to customers’ needs. Recently, idloom acquired a renowned Belgian on-site interaction app, which it will further develop to bring to the market an easy solution for creating personalized event apps. The application will feature live polling as well as one-to-one meeting at a fraction of the price point of competitors.

Looking into the future, idloom is all set to make a name for itself in the market by developing even more strategic partnerships worldwide, and by continuously improving its offering while keeping the same high quality of service.
