Q. What was the motivation behind starting Dolman Law Group Accident Injury Lawyers, PA?

I established Dolman Law Group back in 2008 because I knew I wanted to help people who were at a disadvantage. My partner and I had each worked for other people and could see that the focus wasn’t always on the client. We wanted to change that and decided to start our firm so that we could put the client first and have real communication with them. Ever since we established Dolman Law Group, we have always given our clients our personal cell phone numbers, and we still do that today.

Q. What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful leader?

The top 3 skills needed to be a successful leader are listening, compassion and drive. If you learn to truly listen to people—your clients, employees, partners, everyone—you are already ahead of the game. Compassion is also important when it comes to leading. If the people you are leading know that you care about them, they will be much more likely to help your business achieve its goals. The same exact concept applies to clients. And finally, the drive is so important. You have to want to lead and want your business to succeed, and have the drive to make it happen. If you combine these three things and really apply them, I think anyone can be a successful leader.

Q. How did you manage to form your dream team?

We all try to treat each other like a family that understands that we are all similar. If you get burned out, your team probably does too; if you enjoy being praised for your work, your team probably does too. So, we treat everyone how we would want to be treated. It seems to be working great so far.

Q. About adaptability, how do you stay relevant to the consumer interests and needs in this highly volatile market?

To stay relevant to consumer interests and needs, we must listen to our clients and employees and not be afraid to try out new things. Like I said earlier, I think that listening to the people around you is a really important part of being successful. If we know why our clients decided to hire us, what part of the process they like and dislike, and what elements are important to them, and we put all of that into our future business model, I think it sets us up to be highly adaptable. We’ve also never been afraid to try new things. One of the reasons that Dolman Law Group is so successful is because of our website. Back when we first started, a lot of our competitors weren’t focusing on their internet branding and marketing, but we knew that that was the future. I have spent countless hours learning how websites work and how they show up on Google, and all that knowledge is reflected in our current website and business success. Our website is currently the second most visited personal injury website in the nation.

Q. Do you have any new services ready to be launched?

As our firm has grown and we have formed new partnerships, it has allowed us to better take on mass tort cases. For example, we are currently accepting cases on behalf of people who were injured while living at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps base. We are also currently fighting back against other big companies and products that have harmed people, like firefighting foam, CPAP machines, baby formula, and many other products.

Q. What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

We are so excited to continue to grow and to serve more people in new cities across the country. In the last few years, we’ve been able to open offices in over 20 locations across the United States, and we are looking forward to opening even more. When we work in new cities, we work with the best attorneys in those cities, so we’re excited to be able to help more people and give them the best service possible.
