Innovation Redefined

Innovation is something that perhaps every business has had to turn to since the onset of the pandemic. But it has been a necessity for success in every industry. At Numedico Technologies, innovation is part of the Company’s DNA.

The company is currently in the final stages of designing and prototyping a new and superior version of ClickZip™. While the elements that have been redesigned may go unnoticed, the device’s efficiency will vastly exceed the functionality of the current version.

Numedico has also filed an Australian provisional patent application for a new syringe (Project name ZR). “We will confirm filing details in due course. This new design could be an industry game-changer and could reduce user costs by many billions.”

Focus on Safety and Sustainability

The onset of the pandemic has made us all realize that with challenges comes great innovation. Medtech companies greatly changed how they operate by using digital avenues that are available today to accelerate the development and delivery of medical devices and diagnostics while ensuring patient safety.

Such innovations mean that MedTech companies today have the opportunity to address these changes and switch from manual processes to digital solutions. This will only speed up the total product life cycle for them improve healthcare.

Numedico produces medical devices at eight manufacturing facilities in China and two in India. All factories are fully compliant, holding US 510k FDA, CE Marked, ISO 13485, and numerous country approvals. A priority at Numedico is safety and sustainability. Numedico works with its manufacturers to ensure sustainable raw materials are used at all times through the production process.

“Although COVID has been a major distraction to the company, we have seen a silver lining with our resources refocused on broadening our sales channels, enabling more control throughout the supply chain, and diversifying and growing our customer base. This exercise has been invigorating,” said Mr. Calvert.

Numedico’s Quality Assurance division oversees production quality through product assessments undertaken in its lab in Australia. This is backed up by onsite physical inspections by its staff to ensure quality and consistency. Also, to protect itself against supply risks in the future, Numedico is preparing a feasibility study to build a syringe and medical device manufacturing facility in North America. The company is seeking investors and operators interested in partnering with them to bring this project to fruition.

“Our logistics team finds innovative ways to offset our carbon footprint. The team manages carbon abatement initiatives that render our supply chain a sustainable operation,” explained Neville Calvert, Founder and CEO. Additionally, the company is working to build manufacturing facilities in regional locations worldwide to avoid carbon-heavy freight from Asia. With this initiative, Numedico is all-set to prevent thousands of tons of CO2 emissions.

The Future

Numedico recently launched a subsidiary company in the US, Numedico Tech Inc. This strategic expansion will enhance Numedico’s presence in the USA to allow their products to be offered to the consumers in the country.
