Apprehensive if your FB account is safe? Do not panic… here comes an end!

siliconreview Apprehensive if your FB account is safe? Do not panic… here comes an end!

Wanna keep your account secure? Weary of your account being hacked? Here is a sigh of relief to all of you out there! Facebook comes with an alternative! What is it? Perplexed? Here we go…

Facebook will use two types—USB security keys you can slide into a laptop and touch to activate, and NFC security keys that can communicate with wireless chips built into certain Android smart phones.

Facebook has offered authentication in two ways once if anyone logs in your account you get a text message on your phone or on facebook application but this facility requires a phone or a dongle and prevents those who merely sign into your account.

“Right now, the APIs to do this are still pretty new and there aren’t native APIs yet in Android for an app to take advantage of,” Hill explains

Meanwhile facebook fixed up its privacy basic pages with the login security, privacy and advertising settings, plus Face book’s Privacy Checkup but the rebuilt page looks more attractive and catchy.

Brad Hill, Facebook security engineer said “We’re just looking to provide a diversity of tools so that everyone can find something that’s right for them.” The main purpose was to help provide multiple options for two-factor logins.
