With an aim to recuperate the top pimple in smart speaker space, the e-commerce giant Amazon is allegedly working on a new flagship Echo speaker that will be revamped to be slimmer and better than its predecessor.
As per a report in Engadget, the all new updated model will be “shorter and slimmer”, similar to three or four stacked Echo Dots. The recent move by the giant Amazon’s is said to be an effort to enhanced Apple’s HomePod that was been launched in its Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
The all new Echo would present enhanced sound using a number of tweeters as a substitute of just one – alike to the HomePod that will sport seven tweeters when it ships this December. Along with this, the company is also preparing up to perk up Echo’s microphone technology as well as the design.
If Amazon can glue to a $180 price tag, it will maintain at least one advantage over the HomePod, which will sell for $349, the report said.
