Cisco acquires Viptela to make advancements in IoT and Cloud technology

Cisco plans to take over Viptela, the networking startup and cloud based software-defined wide area network (SD- WAN) in its venture to mark his presence in cloud technology and IoT. The tech giant expects to acquire the completely by the end of the year and the deal is expected to bring in $610 million which is one among the best that the company had yet.

This is just one among the other initiatives of Cisco in framing its name as an IoT and cloud service provider.”Viptela's technology is cloud-first, with a focus on simplicity and ease of deployment while simultaneously providing a rich set of capabilities and scale. These principles are what today's customer’s demand," said Scott Harrell, senior vice president of product management for the Cisco enterprise networking group.

The question is how the entire process will be formulated. It is quite easy as it helps those enterprises which are in it’s strive to add more mobile devices to the network. As a whole, it helps to maintain the devices by through the software defined WAN-support.

For the past few years Cisco was trying to build up the fame by through similar acquisitions like of Jasper Technologies in 2016 for $1.4 billion, AppDynamics and so on.  Recently they also announced their plans to partner with The Three Group, which manages a global portfolio of high-speed mobile networks, to bring its cloud services into implementation.
