Global networking giant Cisco recently has unveiled new “intent-based” networking solutions which has been developed with important inputs from its Global Development Centre in Bengaluru and signifies a "significant breakthrough in enterprise networking".

The all new networking architecture, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) that maintains to sense security threats with 99% accuracy, will also be including a  subscription pricing model and has been dubbed as "The Network. Intuitive."

"By building a more intuitive network, we are creating an intelligent platform with unmatched security for today and for the future that propels businesses forward," Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins said at an event held recently.

The system, described by Robbins as "a new network for a new eraa, anticipates actions, stops security threats and evolves and learns on the go It is, Robbins added, "going to drive networking for the next 30 years".

A successful outcome of "years of research and development", the all new network has been tested by 75 global enterprises and organizations - including Wipro in India.

The Global Development Centre in Bengaluru, which also further to the new network, is Cisco's major outside the US. The one-million square foot campus houses R&D, IT and customer support teams.

"The network has never been more critical to business success, but it's also never been under more pressure," said Robbins, adding that "intuitive network is powered by intent and informed by context".

The "Intent-based" networking permits IT to shift from customary procedure to mechanizing intent, this in return make it possible to run millions of devices in minutes -- vital to helping organizations pilot an expanding technology landscape, said the company, which posted revenues of close to $50 billion last year.

What facilitates the network to offer innovative imminent is its aptitude to understand data in context. These results in improved security, more modified knowledge and also faster operations, it added. Additionally, the all new network also offer machine-learning at scale. Cisco is using the enormous data that streams through its networks around the world, with machine learning built in and unleashing that data to provide "actionable, predictive insights".

While the technologies that influence the intuitive network include Cisco DNA (Digital Network Architecture) that offers customers with a collection of hardware and software intended to work jointly as a single system and "empower customers to shift at digital speed".

Well that’s not all it also provides a DNA Centre, a centralized management dashboard that lets IT to "centralize management of all network functions".

Cisco takes up approximately 12,000 people crossways its a range of centres in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Gurugram.
