Popular news reader platform online portal ‘Google News’ goes through image revamp. Search giant Google has designed a fresh new look for the desktop version of Google News, in an attempt to perk up the readability, navigation, and comprise diverse perspectives. Additionally, the update has also got it in line with Google's Material Design image visual, which relies deeply on cards. Unlike earlier, every story gets its own rectangle that helps de-clutter the interface, with a little better square picture to go with it.

What has been done- The new homepage has three sections at the top: world headlines, local news, and a "For You" tab that illustrate only the matter that user care about. The last two can be personalized once the user will log in with their Google account; local can be focused on any part of the world, while "For You" is like a social news feed of sorts. Additionally to this, the company will also aid take in more viewpoint once they click on a story card, bringing in other pieces that might carry labels such as "Most Referenced", "Opinion", "Live Updating", or "Fact Check".

Labels were lastly introduced last year, and it's now getting its own box on the new Google News homepage. Accessible to the right-hand side of the headlines, it'll demonstrate the top detail checked articles that were published lately. But unfortunately as of now, the trait is restricted to the US edition.

This apart, Google has also included a new "Full Coverage" page, which is accessible from the story card – which arranges different kind of articles into sections, and includes videos and connected topics on the right.
