Windows announced in IFA, Berlin that the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will be dispatched on 17th October. This update will also see the first installment of Windows Mixed Reality, the company's VR platform. The update will also see the debut of the Windows Fluent Design System, which would update the look and feel of application and system icons and user interface. It won't be a huge visual change, but it should be the beginning of a minimal-looking Windows. According to executive VP of Windows Terry Myerson, the Fall Creators Update will also support eye-tracking, currently undergoing testing, which will allow physically challenged users to navigate the interface without the usage of limbs.

Microsoft’s Virtual Reality hardware partners will also launch their headsets the same day. Headsets from HP, Lenovo, and Dell will cost an average of 350$ with motion controllers. Most of these VR headsets will have 1440x1400 pixel resolution, featuring a refresh rate of 90hz.
