First Sri Lankan leather manufacturing organization to be ISO 9001:2015 certified

Sri Lankan based Ceylon Leather Products (CLPL) or popularly known as DI, has recently announced that it has met the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system across its operations, after a rigorous audit process.

The pioneer has a history of 72 years in manufacturing leather, leather footwear, and leather accessories.

CLPL further stated that it is the first Sri Lankan leather product and footwear manufacturing organization so far to be ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Embarked by the British government in 1939, to manufacture boots, shoes, and accessories for the British armed forces, the establishment has bloomed over the years after several transformations and in the process has launched the brand DI as a renowned brand not only in Sri Lanka but amongst other International buyers.

The company achieved the accreditation after a stringent assessment process and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of systems. It symbolizes its commitment towards quality management and, the strength of measures the company has taken to improve its products and services across the island.

All the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 are generic and thus can be applicable to CLPL efficiently and effectively.
