Synnex Teams Up With Carbonite to Expand its Cloud Platform Portfolio

Synnex, a California-based supply chain company has joined hands with data protection provider Carbonite to introduce new data protection platform offerings across Australian sub-continent.

“The partnership enhances its cloud data protection portfolio. Especially for partners that requires a solid migration solution to move client servers and data between various cloud platforms,” said Kee Ong, CEO, Synnex (Australia and New Zealand). “This presents a tremendous opportunity to offer on-premise and cloud migration services,” he added.

The partnership aims to deliver disaster recovery and backups for channel partners for their workload migration and endpoint protection across the entire ecosystem. And the data protector’s portfolio will provide seamless data protection techniques for SMEs which pave a way for resellers to in interact with their consumers directly.

According to Carbonite, businesses need more data protection than before because of the rise in cybersecurity threat. The companies need to adopt sophisticated data protection strategies that will ensure the protection of important business data and cutting down both planned and sudden downtimes.

 “Through using Carbonite, partners can move data, applications or entire servers between clouds, physical and virtual platforms with virtually zero downtime,” said Michael Tea, GM, Synnex e-commerce and cloud services.

Meanwhile, the supply chain company recently signed with TeamViewer, a software firm to strengthen its cloud offering in different channels. Earlier this year, Synnex made a deal with a Denmark–based company, Printix to increase its cloud services profile.
