Tesla achieves its much-anticipated goal of Model 3 production
The Silicon Review
02 July, 2018

Tesla has been targeting to produce 5000 Model 3 cars per week for months but has failed to meet any of its production and delivery targets for the model 3. It was one of the saddest production failures for the company when in early October 2017 it had produced just 260 of its new electric car in the third quarter and delivered only 220.

Tesla has now successfully overcome the struggle with bottlenecks in production. It has reportedly produced more than 5000 Model 3 electric car in the last week of June. Elon Musk, Co-founder, and CEO of Tesla who had repeatedly referred to Model 3 as “production hell”, has geared up his efforts in recent months to meet the target the company has always dreamt of achieving.

Musk recently directed the company to put a giant tent structure in Fremont, California factory to ramp up the production of Model 3 electric cars by housing another assembly line. Tesla recently opened up Model 3 orders to all reservation holders in the U.S and Canada and there are currently 3 versions to choose from: long-range 310-mile rear-wheel drive, long-range dual motor all-wheel drive or the performance variant.

Though the company is on cloud nine as it has achieved its much-anticipated target but it still has to prove the customers and shareholders that it can maintain the same consistency in the production without any fit and finish issues!
