Google Scaling through Subsea Cable Networks in Singapore and the US

 Finally, the company plans on expanding data centres so that it can internationally boost services for the customers. There are no signs of slowing down and it is revealed that both Texas and APAC projects are in currently in progress. It is evident that Google is breaking ground records in terms of data centres by establishing its third data centre in Singapore. In the past, the company started building its first facility in 2011 and had the second expansion took place in 2015. Not to mention, this is a growth that is certainly a huge achievement in this market. This is because of the rapid growth of web users in the region.

Companies like Carousell, Wego, Singapore Airlines, Go-JEK, and Ninkavan have all accessed Google’s services in Singapore. It all started with Google’s Cloud Platform (GCP) that was established last year that is located in Jurong West that is down the road of the first building. This newly built Singapore data centres will make Google invest $850 million. “The facility will be one of the most efficient and environmentally-friendly sites in Asia, in line with our global approach,” says Google.   

In the US region, Google has plans on expanding the company in Midlothian, Texas. This will be 25 miles from Dallas. Although, Andrew Silvestri of Google mentioned that the development is not confirmed yet and wants further options to grow in business demand.
