Oracle Announces Global Startup Programme in India with 18 New Start-Ups

Oracle Corporation will start its "Start-up Cloud Accelerator" programme in India with the help of 18 new start-ups. The announcement was made public on Monday.

“With Indian start-ups making global strides, Oracle's enterprise-grade cloud platform is a natural choice for them to be able to scale rapidly, securely and cost-effectively. We're excited to have these trailblazers part of our start-up programme,” said Harshad Oak, Senior Director, Oracle Global Startup Ecosystem.

According to the company, the main goal of the programme is to guide start-ups in different fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, chatbots, big data, predictive analytics, and automation.

The programme was piloted in India’s Bengaluru and the start-ups are part of the fourth consecutive batch and the second consecutive batch in Delhi and Mumbai. "Start-up Cloud Accelerator" programme is designed will focus on providing mentoring, co-working space, access to Oracle customers, partners and investors and free Oracle Cloud credits.

The start-ups belong from different platforms in the field of power distribution, hospitality, micro finance, marketing, travel, employee benefits and rewards services, supply chain management, cyber security, etc. Located in nine locations around the world, the programme has centers in Bristol, Mumbai, Delhi, Paris, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Austin, Bengaluru, and Tel Aviv.

“Oracle's start-up engagement goes well beyond business and technology. We make every effort to understand the start-ups, partner with them and also learn from them,” added Mr. Oak.
