Business Deal: Apple and Salesforce Join Hands

Apple Inc. and cloud computing company has made an announcement that both the companies will team up. The announcement was made public on Monday.

In the partnership, Apple will help the cloud computing company build iPhone’s feature Siri Voice assistant into Salesforce’s own mobile apps. The app is exclusively designed for the sales and marketing industry.

On the other hand, big businesses will be benefited by’s software, as it will help the businesses to power their own apps. With that, they can also manufacture products with features similar to iPhones and iPads.

Both Apple and have big ecosystems of third-party software developers. The estimated number of developers who create software for Apple devices are about 20M. Most of the Apple developers are mainly focused on consumers. There are around 5M developers in who develop business applications in their back-end systems.

Apple has been expanding its business through deals with companies like IBM, Cisco, and Accenture.

The partnership will pave the way for a salesperson to use Siri after their meeting with a customer to keep a record of the meeting. They can also flag the customer service issue for a support team and the team can be called up to tackle a time-consuming data-entry-tasks.

“We’re going to be able to provide the sales rep instant access to things using your voice instead of clicks and going through different apps,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc.
