Reddit Rolling Out Its First N...For the first time in a decade, American social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website, Reddit has redesigned and altered its website interface and the changes have already been rolled out. According to reports, in the next few months, the new Reddit design will appear to all users and lurkers. As of now, those who see the change can still switch back to the old Reddit.
Resembling some of the modish website templates available on Squarespace, Wix, or Tumblr, the new redesigned Reddit interface replaces the navigation bar with a menu on the left corner, which opens up to display links to feeds, subreddits, and user profiles.
With the new Reddit look, the users will be able to choose how they want to view Reddit, as it has got three modes:
Furthermore, to make things more instinctive for new users, Reddit has got different fonts that will be distinguishing whether a link is redirecting outside of Reddit or to another post on Reddit. Also, to promote the content creation, a big blue button stands out on the main page that invites users to post new things.
Along with the new look that Reddit is getting, designers of the American website has also reimagined its platform’s mascot, Snoo as a 3D cute mascot traversing planets. So, every new user who joins Reddit now will get Snoo as its default profile photo, until they change it.
