In the present time machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence are bridging the gap between fact and fiction in the supply chain. We are currently seeing many fictional aspects of science coming to life. Many companies work smarter, play their cards right, attain more efficiently and more economically sustain various aspects of the business. There are many innovations currently under the retail supply chain that starts from autonomous robots that work on the dock to various types of drones that manage yard inventory to sensors that track shipment condition during transport. The structure is very simple. Many companies opt for the either one of these verticals and support the entire supply chain. Basically, supply chain technology is proliferating in two different paths; equipment itself and the advanced software that operates the equipment.

Artificial Intelligence is no less; it is the theory and development of computer systems that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. It is because without the actual human support it will be hard for artificial intelligence to function. As a result, software that is compatible with a human mind is under development. Few companies have already developed some and are currently being used by many firms. The future is now! Because we now see new innovations coming into the market, the supply is certainly heading somewhere and only time will tell if it goes the positive direction or not.
