Ford unveils new electric Mustang SUV, Mach-E

Ford unveils a new electric car; the first under the Mustang banner. It is to be an SUV and the best one manufactured by Ford so far. The car called Mach-E lays express emphasis on affordability and performance whilst proving to be a worthy contender against competitors like Tesla. The new car will have two electric motors and a horsepower of 459, the same as a Porsche 911, which will enable it to accelerate from zero to 60 miles an hour in roughly 3.5 seconds.

“Ford expects Extended Range versions of the Mach-E with 332 horsepower to get an EPA-rated range of at least 300 miles. The standard range version will go about 239 miles on a charge.Even with that standard range battery packthe Mach-E will accelerate more quickly than a Porsche Macan SUV. It is a freaking rock star,” said Ted Cannis, Ford's director of electrification.

Even though electric cars do not need a long hood owing to the fact that they are lacking an engine, the Mach-E has one in order to resemble other cars from the Mustang family. Another physical feature that is sure to set the Mach-E apart is that it does not have a handle bar in the back and electric buttons will have to be used in order to open the doors.
