At the Los Angeles Auto Show that took place this week, Mini Cooper, a subsidiary of BMW motors, rolled out its fastest model up to date. The model which is called the Mini Cooper John Cooper goes up to a speed of one sixty five miles per hour and has a horsepower of 301. John Cooper was a designer who had collaborated to manufacture the original rally cars in the beginning.

“Only 3,000 of these cars will be produced and each will be individually numbered in a noticeable way. The production number, from 0001 through 3000, will appear in large digits on the corner of the car's front fender flare. Mini has already decided that car number 0001 will go to a customer in the United States, but hasn't decided yet how they will choose who will get it. It will not be decided through an auction,” said Mike Peyton, Mini's vice president for the Americas.

The cars are made from recycled waste which is left over from manufacturing the i8 and i3 versions of the BMW. The cars are set to be manufactured in 2020 at the factory located in England at Oxford.
