TELUS is the newest Monarch GM01Q certifier after other leading operators in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Monarch GM01Q includes the Sequans Monarch LTE-M baseband chip, an LTE-optimized transceiver and a front end of the regional RF. This system is designed as a perfect solution for device makers with the incredibly low power consumption and tailored coverage needed for successful IoT business cases.
Sequans' Monarch GM01Q module includes the Monarch LTE-M/NB-IoT chip from Sequans and all other elements needed for a full LTE modem device. These include an LTE-optimized transceiver, a full Single SKUTM RF front-end for worldwide support of LTE bands, and main interfaces, all in one compact LGA kit.To facilitate long battery life, Monarch GM01Q offers full power saving mode (PSM) and extended discontinuous reception (eDRX) support. This also offers improved coverage modes that broaden coverage for remote and deep-indoor deployments.The module uses Sequans' patented dynamic power management technology allowing 1 micro-amppower consumption.
