Vendors are hustling into the cloud storage market paving way for innovations
The Silicon Review
03 January, 2020

In recent times the traditional vendors are aggressively moving into the cloud storage market and the growth is exponential. This growth has paved the way for innovation and disruption in cloud storage solutions. Modern datacenter architect, Matthew Beale stated that the recent disruption has completely changed the status quo of cloud solutions when compared to the last few years. The on-premise vendors have completely moved their offering to the cloud and this has led to the emergence of new storage solutions. More of an enterprise-based solution is being offered and this has given the consumers freedom to flexibly approach the cloud environment. By working on the cloud the vendor wants to show themselves as an innovator and they also want to have storage apps.

When there is a ubiquitous big data plain spanning across the organization it is appealing to the customers. This is beneficial to consumers because they don’t have to spend a lot of money, time, and resources in scouting for platforms across various vendors. When a solution is selected it must be a multi-cloud piece and CTOs or CIOs must not invest in techs like AWS-based or Azure-based. Decision-makers must make sure that all the expected criteria are met for the development of an enterprise storage platform.
