Sony’s launch event featured PS5 and several new exclusive titles

In its recent launch event, Sony revealed their next-generation gaming console PS5. Along with that, they also teased a holiday release for a few games. The event was initially planned to take place during the last week, but it was postponed due to unprecedented reasons. The event was held online, and it was pretty much similar to the standard E3 presentation. This year’s event was way better than the previous year’s low-key event held at a gaming show. The show was kicked off with GTA V, and an upgraded version of it is expected in 2021. The show-stealer was Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It is a sequel to the popular PS4 gaming title featuring the protagonist of into the spider-verse.  The new title is expected to be released in Q4 of 2020.

Among other new additions, Stray will be out in 2021. The reveal trailer didn’t give away much information, but the game appears to be promising. Solar Ash is also scheduled to be released next year, and this title is also from AnnaPurna (Studio, which created Stray). For their flagship title reveal, NBA 2K21 took center stage. The presentation from Sony did not feature any FPS games, and the company is yet to announce the price of its new console.
