Microsoft Flight Simulator video game series to add-on an F-15 Eagle fighter jet

Microsoft Flight Simulator video game series to add-on an F-15 Eagle fighter jet

Microsoft Flight Simulator, also known as MSFS or FS, is a series of amateur flight simulator programs for Microsoft Windows operating systems. Being an early product in the Microsoft application portfolio, the series is one of the longest-running, best known, and one of the most comprehensive home flight simulators currently available in the market. Microsoft Flight Simulator currently has a barrier in place to prevent virtual pilots from reaching that speed in the game.

In the game, while virtual pilots will be able to select and load ordnance, it remains unclear whether the pilots would possess the access to fire the guns or release other kinds of payloads. Developed under US aerospace giant McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing), the F-15 Eagle is an all-weather tactical fighter that was designed in 1967 to cater to the US Air Force’s need for a dedicated air superiority fighter.

The fighter is armed with air-to-air missiles that can be launched from beyond visual range and have the air-to-ground capability to penetrate hostile air and ground defenses to deliver up to 24,000lb of precision ordnance. Recent reports suggest the add-on feature, which has been developed by DC Designs, could be available to consumers as early as January 18.
