Clubhouse finally arrives on A...Clubhouse, the voice-based social media app, has finally made its app available for Android after being exclusive to iOS for a year. However, the app is currently available to download for Android users in the US only. The users of other countries have to wait a little more.
The audio-based social network, valued at about $4 billion, has quickly gained popularity attracting several high-profile celebrities, politicians, investors, and entrepreneurs. The audio-chat room format became so popular among the masses that tech giants like Facebook, Twitter, and others had to launch their own version of the Clubhouse-like feature.
Earlier last week, Clubhouse had announced that its Android app is in the works, and within a week, it launched the app. This shows that Clubhouse has been really wanting to capture the Android users before they make it up to its counterparts.
“Our plan over the next few weeks is to collect feedback from the community, fix any issues we see, and work to add a few final features like payments and club creation before rolling it out more broadly,” the clubhouse team announced.
If you are a US resident, you can download the app straightway, while in most of the other countries, the app is available for pre-registration. However, Clubhouse says the platform will remain invite-only for now, meaning it’s still not open to everyone as part of the effort to keep the growth in check.
