Post-Covid, the definition of home has completely changed, and recently to commemorate their 50 years of service to the real estate segment, CENTURY 21 had joined hands with Magnetic Collective to find out how the industry has evolved in the past year. The main motto of the study was to understand the changes in the buyer’s behavior and how real estate has transformed modern homeownership. The study was conducted with qualitative interviews and quantitative analysis to understand the builders, buyers, agents, and future buyers. Five key global markets were targeted, including the US, Spain, Japan, Australia, and France.
With plans to start more offices across the globe, it was important for Century to understand the market through the global lens. There were more than 1500 respondents to the survey and almost 300 from each market. The age demographics range from 25 to 64. A documentary called Rediscovering Home was shot, and it revolves around the finding of the study as well as understanding the trends that emerged during the pandemic. This will certainly shape the future home buying experience. President and CEO Michael Miedler have stated that the past 18 months have been very unpredictable for the real estate agent, and they are thrilled about the latest survey to understand the market better.
