Microsoft is sending out several small warnings, out of which some are mildly humorous in an attempt to avert users from installing Chrome

The popular web browser Chrome has more than 2 billion users worldwide. In recent times the browser has witnessed more successful hacks than the numbers reported in 2020. The browser has received numerous warnings from an unanticipated source. Tech giant Microsoft is sending its users warning in notifications if they try to download Chrome. The warning issued was mainly because of Chrome's security, trust, and privacy concerns.

Microsoft is sending out several small warnings, out of which some are mildly humorous in an attempt to avert users from installing Chrome. Microsoft's warnings make it clear that its own Edge browser is very secure, and it comes with added privacy and trust of Microsoft.  Many industry experts speculate that the main motivation behind doing the same is due to marketing, even though the claims about privacy are true up to some extent. The claims have come out at the time when Microsoft has restricted a few elements in the new Windows 11, in which it is very difficult to switch browsers. Microsoft is now forcing users to set the change the browser default individually for over ten types of files and links. We also note that people use apps like Edge Deflector to overcome this issue.
