Popular search engine giant Google has recently made an announcement regarding a new Data Cloud Alliance to make data more accessible and portable across business platforms, environments, and systems. The main motto of the alliance is to make sure that data accessibility is not a barrier when it comes to digital transformation. The latest alliance has Confluent, Deloitte, Accenture, Databricks, Starburst, and Redis, among others, as founding partners. The members will be responsible for providing application programming interfaces, integration support, and infrastructure for ensuring data accessibility and portability between multiple products and platforms found across various environments.
Reports suggest that by 2023, more than 60 percent of the organization will make use of at least three or more analytics solutions to build business applications. This will help in connecting insights to actions. Google Cloud’s Director of Product Management has stated that we must provide companies with the right interoperability, agility, and flexibility to boost their data-driven transformation. He furthermore added that they have worked towards massively expanding their data cloud partner ecosystem. Along with that, the company is also increasing partner investment across uncharted areas. In an event held on Tuesday, Google had also unveiled a Google Cloud Ready BigQuery initiative.
