JLo and Ben Affleck were engaged in 2002 and finally married on Saturday in Las Vegas after 20 years
Jennifer Lopez confirmed their wedding in her newsletter Sunday by ending the letter with her name: Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck. They got hitched in a private ceremony in Las Vegas. Lopez wrote about her wedding and experience in her newsletter.
The couple met on the set of the rom-com 'Gigli,' where they acted like criminals stuck on a job together, and the pair ended up in real-life friendship. The couple was engaged by November 2002, but they postponed their wedding to September 2003, citing "the excessive media attention" for their wedding. In January 2004, they officially called off their engagement as they never made it down the aisle. With marriages and children, it took them another 16years to find their way back together.
Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck wrote that they did not wear anything fancy at their wedding, she wore a dress from her old movie, and Affleck wore a jacket from his closet. She added that they read their wedding vows and exchanged their rings, ones they are about to wear for the rest of their life. She wrote, "In the end, it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined."
