Another wave of cancellations and delays in the United States airlines is being felt across the United States on Sunday.
According to the flight tracking website, there were 912 flights canceled on Sunday. Across the United States, a total of 6,378 flights have been delayed. The same scenario was seen on Saturday as well. A total of 7267 flights were delayed, and 657 were canceled into or out of the United States on Saturday.
According to FlightAware, American Airlines delayed 24% of the flights on Saturday and canceled 4%. Among the delayed and canceled, United States had 23% of its flights delayed, and 4% of them were canceled. FlightAware notes that Delta followed it with 2% cancellation and 22% of its Saturday flights delayed. According to the website, 36% of Southwest flights and 41% of JetBlue's flights were also delayed on Saturday.
On Sunday, Chicago O'Hare saw the most delays and cancellations. Approximately over 40% of flights were delayed, and 12% of flights were canceled. Chicago witnessed heavy rain on Saturday, which included a flash flood warning that was in place for parts of the afternoon for potion of Cook County.
