President Biden said the Covid-19 pandemic in the US is over

President Biden

President Joe Biden has declared that the Covid-19 pandemic in the US is over and the number of Americans who died from Covid continues to rise.

According to Mr. Biden, the US still have a problem but the situation was rapidly improving. Statistically, over 400 Americans on average are dying from Covid each day.  Last week the head of WHO said that the end of pandemics was “in sight”. The US was doing a lot to control the virus, said president Biden in an interview with a CBS program.

The interview was aired over the weekend. It was partly filmed on the floor of the Detroit Auto Show. In the show, Mr. Biden gestured toward the crowd and said no one is wearing the mask and still everybody seems to be in good condition. But the US media is told by the administration that the president’s comment did not signal changes in Covid policies and there were no changes in plan for an ongoing public health emergency.

More than one million Americans have died from Covid till the day. According to the data from John Hopkins University, currently, the seven-day average of deaths stands at over 400, with more than 3000 death in the past week alone.
