Walt Disney Co. pulled the "Star Wars" movie "Rogue Squadron" from the film schedule for next year.

Since the debut of "The Rise of Skywalker" in December 2019 “Rogue Squadron” would have been the first Star Wars movie to reach the theatre. Rogue Squadron was set to be directed by Patty Jenkins, the maker of Wonder Woman. Due to a scheduling conflict with Jenkins, the movie was previously delayed from 2022 to December 2023.

And now Disney removed the movie and gave no indication on when a new movie would be released in the blockbuster space franchise. The company did not respond to a request for comment on why the Star Wars movie on space franchise was pulled from its upcoming slate.

Several Star Wars TV shows have been released by Disney in the past few years on the Disney+ streaming service. Andor, the next series of Star Wars will be debuted on Wednesday on the same streaming platform.
