A huge fire has engulfed many homes and a train line in Aguascalientes, central Mexico after a fuel truck crashed.

Dramatic video of the fire including aerial shots of black smoke blanketing over a large area of the city went viral on social media. One video also showed a cargo train hurtling through flames. El Universal website of Mexico said that more than 1,500 people were evacuated. Some of the cars and homes were gutted by fire. Till this time there are no death reports but several people are taken to the hospital. The truck driver has been detained by the Mexican police.

According to the Facebook post of Mayor Leo Montañez, there were 300 homes in the crash area and 120 of which have been damaged. The initial reports said that the truck collided with a train but the report of Reuters says the truck hit an overpass.

Pemex, a state oil firm denied owning the truck and said that firm is helping efforts to contain the fire. According to the El Universal report, about 200 firefighters are trying to extinguish the flame.
