A host of well-known Western brands shut down their Russian operations due to the conflict

Russia has come out with its own version of the famous toy Legos. Its version is known as Mir Kubikov or World of Cubes. The game that is launched by the Russian retail group IRG (Inventive Retail Group), is to be unveiled in 65 shops across 20 cities and is to replace Lego. The Danish toy maker exited Russia due to Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine.

A host of well-known Western brands shut down their Russian operations due to the conflict and Russian companies are trying to replace them. Former McDonald's Corp restaurants reopened as Vkusno & tochka, or 'Tasty and that's it', in June, while the new owners of Starbucks Corp coffee shops changed their name to Stars Coffee. Lego said in July it had terminated its contract with its franchisee IRG which owned and operated 81 stores on its behalf. IRG said its new stores would sell official Lego bricks "purchased through parallel imports and other suppliers" alongside other toys.
