Elon Musk feuds with tech giant Apple over Twitter advertisement

Apple has halted most of its advertising on Twitter said Elon Musk and he accused the company of threatening to remove the platform from its app store.

Amid concerns about Elon Musk's content moderation plans for Twitter, many companies have halted spending on the platform, thus, this feud comes. The world’s richest person said that the platform has seen a massive drop in revenue and he blamed activists for pressuring advertisers.

On Monday, in a series of Tweets, Mr. Musk accused Apple of "censorship" and criticized the company’s policies, including the charge it put on purchases made on its app store. He Tweeted "Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?"

Currently, the vast majority of the revenue OF Twitter comes from advertising. And according to the reports of the Washington Post, Apple spent $48 million on ads on social media in the first quarter of 2022 and it was the top advertiser on Twitter. However, according to US tech site The Verge the media agency Omnicom of Apple recommended the tech giant pause advertising on Twitter out of concern for the "brand safety" of Apple. In recent weeks, Volkswagen and Cheerios maker General Mills are among the firms that have halted their spending on Twitter.
