It will contract with Tata Consulting Services, a division of one of India's biggest corporations, for some of the posts. Boeing has seen a number aircraft problem recently, including the 737 Max being grounded following two catastrophic disasters.

A third of the employment would be delegated to Bangalore, India-based Tata Consulting Services. Boeing did add that it would continue to hire more people "with a focus on engineering and production," though. The company stated that it expects to hire an additional 10,000 people this year in addition to the 15,000 it hired in 2022.

The world's largest airline has been trying to recover since the 737 Max was grounded due to two catastrophic crashes. The 737 Max aircraft has now been given the all-clear to fly once more in the majority of nations across the world following improvements to the aircraft and pilot training.
