VR Assassin's Creed, Stranger Things, and Ghostbusters will be available on Meta Quest by the end of the year

Today, Meta revealed a new lineup of titles for its standalone VR headsets, including the upcoming Meta Quest 3. As Apple is expected to enter the virtual headset space next week, Meta hopes to make a lasting impression with its lineup of upcoming VR titles from beloved franchises such as Assassin's Creed, Stranger Things, Ghostbusters, and Attack on Titan — as well as some VR remakes of old-school classics.

Aside from Asgard's Wrath 2, the most intriguing game might be the one we know the least about. Although it was only a tease, Meta revealed that Assassin's Creed Nexus VR isn't a vaporware after all: the next VR edition in the long-running franchise will be released later this year via the Meta Quest Store. Unfortunately, more information will have to wait until the formal unveiling at Ubisoft Forward on June 12th.

Meta announced several other forthcoming games and upgrades for existing titles, in addition to these well-known properties. Onward, for example, is getting a major 1.11 update that includes new player animations, a redesigned lobby, shooting-range improvements, and more. The third game in the series will be released this summer for Quest, and pre-orders will receive a 10% discount off the full price.
