Tesla hikes Model Y costs for ...Despite the price increase on Tuesday, the Model Y vehicle is still 4.5 percent cheaper than before it was reduced in April.
According to its website, Tesla increased the price of its Model Y electric vehicle in the United States by $250. According to the Tesla website, the Model Y electric car is now priced at $47,740. In the United States, the costs of the other variations stayed unaltered. This is Tesla's third price increase for the vehicle since April 19, when the EV manufacturer reduced prices for certain of its vehicles in the United States for the sixth time in 2023.
The company raised the prices of its Model S, X, and Y automobiles by low-single-digit percentages in May. Tesla has been reducing prices globally since January in an effort to increase volume. Since January, the Elon Musk-led EV company has been reducing its costs globally in order to increase volume. Musk has often stated that Tesla will focus on lowering prices to create demand, and that the global discounts given in January were successful in generating orders.
A few days before, Tesla boosted pricing for its Model Y and Model 3 variations by roughly $300 in the United States, China, Japan, and Canada. Despite the price increase on Tuesday, the Model Y vehicle is still 4.5 percent cheaper than before it was reduced in April.
