Virgin Galactic 01 will put the firm ahead of SpaceX whose Starship rocket has yet to reach space.

Virgin Galactic is finally ready to welcome paying clients after years of research. The business has revealed that Galactic 01, its first commercial spaceflight, will launch between June 27th and June 30th. This first mission will transport three members of Italy's Air Force and National Research Council to undertake microgravity research. Virgin had anticipated a late June launch but had not committed to it until now.

Follow-up flights have already been planned by the company. Galactic 02 is scheduled to launch in early August with a private crew. Following that, Virgin will fly on a monthly basis, however details on future missions are not yet known. The first two flights will be streamed live on the company's website.

In late May, Virgin executed its final pre-commercial flight test, its fifth spaceflight of any kind. However, the corporation had to deal with multiple delays and problems to get there. Virgin Galactic 01, on the other hand, will put the firm ahead of SpaceX, whose Starship rocket has yet to reach space and isn't planned to conduct its first lunar tourist flights until late 2024 at the earliest. While Virgin is less ambitious than Elon Musk's company, it is also attaining its objectives faster.
