06 June, 2023

Microsoft new feature allows Insiders to view the camera roll on their phone in the File Explorer Gallery on Windows 11.

Microsoft has published a new Windows 11 dev build that allows Insiders to view the camera roll on their phone in the File Explorer Gallery. Users can add images from their phone after installing the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build by clicking a new button introduced to the File Explorer's command bar. There is a new 'Add Phone Photos' button in the Command Bar that will assist you in preparing your PC to display these photos in Gallery.

Furthermore, the business has incorporated new realistic voices in Spanish (Spain and Mexico) in the new preview edition, allowing Narrator users to comfortably browse the web, read and write mail, and much more. Natural Narrator voices, according to the company, utilize contemporary, on-device text-to-speech technology and, once downloaded, may be used without an internet connection.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has announced that, beginning in late 2023, it would no longer offer its virtual assistant Cortana as a standalone app on Windows. According to a support page, this change will only affect Cortana on Windows and will remain available in Outlook mobile, Teams mobile, Microsoft Teams display, and Microsoft Teams rooms.
