Krafton Launches Gaming Incuba...Krafton India continues to grow its own mobile titles.
South Korean gaming company Krafton has established its first gaming incubator in India to support the local ecosystem and help those hoping to establish themselves in this fast-growing market. The Krafton India Gaming Incubator will support between six and 10 teams annually for between six months and a year, providing mentorship, guidance, financial support of between $50,000 and $150,000 and access to Krafton’s resources. The team at Krafton India will look for early-stage start-ups and those at the conception stage as well as independent developers and student teams.
They will then be mentored by gaming executives, developers and experts from South Korea and India. After graduation, the participants can generate capital from institutional investors with Krafton allocating a set amount of funding for India from its recent $150m commitment. The incubator programme may also assist Krafton in identifying potential start-ups to acquire for the expansion of its India operations. Krafton India continues to grow its own mobile titles. It includes New State Mobile and Road to Valor: Empires, as well as its most popular title, BGMI.
